An impure cloth that is torn, is no longer impure. The gemara brings various limitations to this halacha including a debate between Rabbi Yochanan and Reish Lakish if this same rule applies to leather. LAws are brought regarding a hide that has some meat attached – with an olive bulk and with 2 half olive bulks. Various interpretations are brought regarding these laws/opinions in the mishna.
